Terms of sale

About these terms

These terms apply when you, as a consumer, buy a watch from 973 Watch Co through our website, by email or by phone. Please read them before you buy. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

We're 973 Watch Co, an independent business based in Bristol, UK. You can contact us at any time through our contact form.

973 Watch Co is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TAG Heuer.

Pre-owned watches

Every watch we sell is pre-owned. We describe each watch's condition, what's included and any work done as accurately as we can in its listing, with photos. Pre-owned watches will show signs of wear consistent with their age, and the listing tells you about anything beyond that.

Unless a listing says a watch has been pressure tested, please don't assume it's water resistant.

Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We'll confirm the total price, including any delivery charge, before you pay.

Reserving and buying a watch

You can ask us to reserve a watch using the enquiry form on its listing. We'll confirm by email how long we can hold it for you.

When you'd like to buy, we'll confirm the watch is available and send you the total price and how to pay. A contract is formed when we confirm by email that we've received your payment. If we can't accept your order, for example because the watch has already been sold, we'll tell you and refund any payment in full.

Payment

We'll tell you the payment methods we accept when we confirm the total price.

Delivery and collection

We send watches by insured, tracked delivery within the UK. We'll confirm the delivery method and expected timescale before you pay.

You can also collect a watch in person in Bristol by appointment.

The watch is your responsibility once it's delivered to you or someone you've nominated. Ownership passes to you when we've received payment in full.

Your right to cancel

If you buy without meeting us in person (online, by email or by phone), you can cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day after you receive the watch, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

To cancel, tell us clearly through our contact form or by replying to any email from us. You then need to send the watch back within 14 days of telling us, well packaged and insured for its full value. You'll need to pay the cost of returning the watch, unless it's faulty or not as described.

We'll refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the watch back, or of you showing us proof that you've returned it, if that's earlier. We'll use the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise.

You may handle the watch as you would in a shop to check it. If it's been used or handled beyond that, or comes back damaged, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

If something's wrong with your watch

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the watch must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. For pre-owned goods, satisfactory quality takes into account the watch's age, condition and price, and any faults we pointed out before you bought it.

If the watch doesn't meet these standards, you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you're entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that isn't possible or doesn't fix the problem, a refund or price reduction.

Our liability

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Complaints

If you're unhappy, please contact us first through our contact form and we'll do our best to put things right.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
